How can you describe something so beautiful that no words seem fitting?

On a misty Saturday in St. John's overlooking The Narrows, Deborah finally got to propose to Shyama after months of carefully planning a city-wide scavenger hunt! Myself and a few other of Shyama's close friends were involved in the scheming over the last while, and it was so amazing to finally see everything come together (despite the good old Rain-Drizzle-Fog)! The love these two share is so sweet, silly, and full of pure joy- it was an honor to be by my friends' side to capture their special day.

It all started when Shyama was left a note at home that morning, telling her to get dolled up and go to the Hungry Heart Café where the gals had their first date! Little did she know, I would be waiting for her with my camera and brunch to kick the day off!

After we ate our delicious banana bread french toast (it was deadly, check it out!), i was tasked with giving Shyama her next letter which would lead her to the next stop on the hunt!

Off to see her friends James and Ian of BubblePixie Soap Co. at the Some Good Market!

As part of this next letter, Deborah had made Shyama a cute little mix CD for her to listen to on the rest of the scavenger hunt, with songs that meant something to their love story!

After having to think a bit about the next clue (nice one Shyama hahah), we were led to the spot where the couple shared their first kiss! Here, another photographer friend Judi was waiting with the final clue and an extra special gift!

The shirt Deborah wore on their first date was lovingly transformed into a gorgeous hankie by her sister! Good thinking, because at this point basically everyone was crying!!

At long last, it was time for Shyama to go find her girl!! On the way up Signal Hill, I got a text from Deborah telling me to change the track on her mix CD to the very last one- and "I Choose You" by Sara Barellies started playing. There wasn't a dry eye in the car- the emotion of what was about to happen was really setting in!
